The Furniture Makers Club creates simple, practical furniture and shelving from reclaimed scaffold boards.

Based in South London, we supply reclaimed boards cut to size, with options for sanding and Osmo Polyx finishing. Our boards are used for shelves, alcoves, kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, studies, storage, planters and general interior projects.

Each board is reclaimed, so no two pieces are exactly the same. You may see dents, old fixing marks, stamped edges, weathering, colour variation or small surface cracks. Rather than hiding that character, we prepare the boards carefully so they keep their natural reclaimed look while being suitable for everyday use.

Finished boards are sanded smooth and treated with multiple coats of Osmo Polyx for a durable, natural surface.

We also supply raw steel brackets for scaffold board shelving, made by independent metalwork companies in the UK. Our standard J brackets are designed for flat walls, while our alcove brackets are made for shelves fitted between two side walls.

The aim is to make reclaimed timber easier to buy, easier to use and more accessible for homes, shops, cafés, studios and small projects.
