Reclaimed scaffold board shelf with locally made industrial steel J brackets
Brand: The Furniture Makers Club
Reclaimed scaffold board shelf with locally made industrial steel J brackets
Colour: Natural wood and raw steel (this will have the joining and grinding marks). Wood available in different stains and metal can be painted, this will be priced per project
The sizing of the shelf is roughly 22cm wide and 3.5cm thick however this varies slightly with each board due to the weathering the board has been through. The brackets have an internal dimension is just over 22.5cm to fit a standard sized scaffold board
A great addition to any kitchen, bedroom, living room or study. These boards are reclaimed and often come with character defining feature such as dents, (small) cuts, weathering, surface cracks and other unique markings we however don’t use rotten or structurally damaged boards. Some boards come with letters on the edge of the board, please let us know if you’d like us to select boards that do/don’t have these markings.
The boards are sanded multiple times with low to high grits to ensure they are smooth and soft to touch for home use and any splinters or dirt are removed. We carefully remove the top layer of wood ensuring we keep the weathered colour and character of the board
Varnished using a two coats of local Peckham beeswax then finished with two more coats of Osmo Poly X
Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask
Thanks - Team TFMC
