Delivery & Returns

This page explains how delivery, collection, returns and cancellations work at The Furniture Makers Club.

Delivery

Delivery is available on selected products and sizes.

Because many of our items are made from reclaimed scaffold boards, delivery depends on the size, weight and product type.

Smaller products such as brackets can usually be sent by parcel courier.

Medium products such as shelves and boards up to selected sizes may be sent by courier.

Large products such as table tops, tables and shelving units may require specialist delivery, local delivery or collection.

Oversized products may be collection only.

Delivery costs

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout where available.

Some larger products may require a custom delivery quote.

If you are unsure whether an item can be delivered to your address, please contact us before ordering.

Collection from South London

Collection is available from South London by appointment.

Please select collection at checkout and we’ll contact you to arrange a suitable collection time.

Please do not arrive without an agreed collection appointment.

Collection-only items

Some larger or heavier items are available for collection only.

This may include:

  • Shelves over 6ft

  • Scaffold boards over selected delivery lengths

  • Large table tops

  • Large shelving units

  • Custom furniture

  • Oversized orders

Local delivery may be available depending on size and location. Please contact us before ordering if you need delivery.

Lead times

Many products are made to order.

Typical lead time is 7-14 working days before dispatch or collection.

Custom sizes, custom finishes, painted metalwork and larger projects may take longer.

If you need an item by a specific date, please contact us before ordering.

Missed delivery

Please make sure the delivery address and contact details you provide are correct.

If a delivery fails because the customer is unavailable or the address is incorrect, additional delivery charges may apply.

Returns

Standard products can be returned if unused and in resaleable condition.

Please contact us before returning an item.

Returned items should be packaged securely.

The customer is responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

Cancellations

For standard products bought online, you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your item.

If you cancel, you then have 14 days to return the item.

Refunds will be processed once the item has been received back and checked.

Custom orders

Custom-sized, custom-finished or personalised products are made specifically for your order.

These items cannot usually be cancelled or returned unless faulty, damaged or not as described.

This includes:

  • Custom lengths

  • Custom widths

  • Custom stains

  • Painted metalwork

  • Bespoke furniture

  • Made-to-measure shelving

  • Products made to measurements provided by the customer

Please check all measurements and details carefully before ordering.

Damaged items

Please check your item as soon as it arrives.

If your item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible with:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photos of the item

  • Clear photos of the packaging

  • A short description of the issue

We will review the issue and confirm the next steps.

Reclaimed timber variation

As our products are made from reclaimed scaffold boards, all measurements are approximate.

Small variations in width, thickness, colour, texture, markings and board movement should be expected.

Product photos are examples only. The board you receive will vary in tone, grain, markings and character.
