FAQs

Can reclaimed scaffold boards be used indoors?

Yes. Our finished reclaimed scaffold boards are sanded smooth and finished with Osmo Polyx for a durable natural surface suitable for interior use.

What finish do you use?

All finished products listed on the store are sanded smooth and finished with multiple coats of Osmo Polyx.

Other finish options may be available on request. Please contact us before ordering if you would like to discuss a custom stain, painted metalwork or alternative finish.

Are all boards the same size?

No. Because the boards are reclaimed, sizes can vary slightly.

Unfinished boards are usually around 22.5cm wide x 3.8cm thick.

Sanded and finished boards are usually around 22cm wide x 3.3cm thick.

Will my board look exactly like the product photo?

No. Product photos are examples only.

Each reclaimed scaffold board has its own tone, grain, markings and character. You may see dents, old fixing marks, stamped edges, weathering, colour variation or small surface cracks.

Do you cut scaffold boards to size?

Yes. Cross cuts are available for shortening boards to your required length.

Rip cuts may also be available depending on the board and cut required. Please contact us before ordering if you need a rip cut.

What is a cross cut?

A cross cut is a straight cut made across the width of the board. It shortens the board to your required length.

What is a rip cut?

A rip cut runs along the length of the board. It reduces the width of the board.
